Barajas Named Player of the Week
★ posted on October 11, 2011
He’s only 5-10, he only weighs 160 pounds, and he’s only a sophomore, but there was no doubt that QB Tristen Barajas was the best player on the field during Ingleside’s 74-6 win over Robstown.
Barajas – a second year starter – matched a state record with eight touchdown passes (10, 42, 63, 17, 57, 19, 62, and 10 yards) throwing for 456 yards in Ingleside’s dominating victory. Other players who have thrown for eight touchdowns in a Texas high school football game: Drew Tate, Scotty Young, John Free, Kirk Saul, Jabo Leonard, Jerry Lopez, Josh Dorman and Jordan Baeza.
Congratulations to Tristen and to the Mustangs on the award and the victory.
