Last year, the Gridiron Legends Player of the Year was a QB from Kerrville Tivy, Johnny Manziel. This year, Parks McNeil is looking to keep the award right at home.

McNeil, in his first year as a starter, finished of a stellar 2011 regular season by rushing for 149 yards and five touchdowns while throwing for another 268 yards in the Antlers’  45-20 regular season finale win over Boerne Champion. McNeil mixed effective running with accurate passing, completing 18 of 31 passes on the night to lead the Antlers to the 28-4A district championship.
